** COVID-19 Public Health Emergency Update **
For the health, safety, and well-being of my clients, I am only offering video and phone sessions at this time. I likely will not be offering in-person services again until late Fall or early Winter.
Please note that I am not accepting new therapy clients at this time. I may have openings again in April.
Welcome
I'm Dr. Jennifer Warkentin and I specialize in the psychological treatment and assessment of adults and older adults. I often work with clients on a range of issues, including depression, anxiety, grief/loss, managing medical problems, life/role transitions, caregiver stress/burnout, and coping with dementia diagnoses. Please see my Services page for more details.
"Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall"
~ Confucius

I recognize that it takes courage to seek help, and believe that effective therapy starts with a genuine, empathic, and honest relationship built on trust and open communication. I know that it can be scary or intimidating to share certain thoughts or feelings, so I work to create a space that feels safe, comfortable, and non-judgmental. My style is warm and at times humorous, and I utilize an integrative treatment model, meaning that I use different theoretical approaches and evidence-based interventions to meet my client's needs. As a result, I am able to vary my specific approach to match each client, including their current issues, goals, and stage of treatment.
I offer video and phone sessions to clients in Massachusetts, and in-person appointments at my Damonmill Square location in Concord, MA on Tuesday afternoons (as noted above, I am not currently providing in-person services). All video sessions are conducted using a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform.
